Ok so not sure what happen [running pt 12.7 on window 7 64bit with a 002R interface] clicked to start pt and it loaded up but notice I forgot to turn on my 002 so I went into hardware and it only showed speaker.had to reinstall drivers for the 002 any thoughts why this would happen I always got the warning can't communicate with ur didgi Hw

If the serial number on the 002 ends in "A" thru "G," they had a power supply harness issue that Digidesign (remember the good old days?) would send out a free replacement for. Easy to tell if yours has been fixed if you don't mind opening it up. Look at the MOLEX connectors leading from the power supply to the main board. If the wires go ACROSS the top of the connector, it hasn't been updated. If the wires go into and back out of the connector, it's been updated and the problem lies elsewhere.
And this is important: NEVER HOT SWAP THE FIREWIRE CABLE! It fries the 002 controller chip. Turn EVERYTHING off first.
