Mouse gone nuts [solved]

Hi - this is a new behavior, started a couple of days ago.
Any time I click in any track with the selector tool (or any of the smart tools)
it blows the track up to extreme width, full screen. How do I stop this?

It's a feature, called Zoom Toggle.

Yes, press "E" when in the edit window.

Yes, press "E" when in the edit window.
Thanks - I'm so used to using E with a selection to zoom it, it hadn't occurred to me that's what turns on the zoom toggle button too.
