How do I make this "Ultra Low" volume accessible?

How is it formatted?

NTFS

It's visible outside of pro tools. I've saved many things to it before.

Right-click on My Computer>select Manage, then select Disk Management in the next window. Once all your drives show in the management window, look at the left-most box for the drive in question and look for the word BASIC, or DYNAMIC. If it shows DYNAMIC, it will need to be reformatted as BASIC(Pro Tools can't write to a DYNAMIC drive):o

It is basic. I have backed up the files to the main drive, and can reformat if necessary.

I think I know the issue:o Shorten the drive name to 11 characters or less(a space IS a character)

Surely you can't be serious?

And I think I see another problem - look at the drive letter. That letter is normally reserved for a floppy drive.

As serious as the day is long.

This. You can reassign the drive letter in Disk Management.

I haven't run a Windows system in a while (WinXP) but I do remember that it can get fussy about drive letter assignments especially when using one that's normally used for something else. a & b being floppy drives, c as system drive for example.

Indeed^^^ Drive letters A and B are ONLY for floppy drives and cannot be used for hard drives. And Pro Tools does not allow drive names of more than 11 characters(historically, you will get a message when opening Pro Tools, warning about that and I suspect the reason you have NOT seen this message is because of the drive letter). Go into Disk Management as I described earlier and right-click on the drive and select Change Drive Letter. Pick any letter after C:(which is ONLY for the system drive). Then close Disk Management and open My Computer. Right-click on the drive and select Rename and shorten the name and all should work fine:o

Oh yes this can really screw up your system.

I messed with my drive letters awhile back, and it messed up my Waves USB auth's

I had to go back and find the letter that the WC was using.....b/c all my auth's disappeared
