Hi,

I am wondering if anyone knows of any classic synth VST's that will work on pro tools 12 on my macbook pro?

Cheers

Pro Tools does not support VSTs directly. You will have to use a bridge such as Blue Cats Patchwork.

Do you possibly mean synth VI's? If so the Arturia synths are quite good sounding, are AAX and they are all emulations of the classics.

If you are new to Pro Tools there are a few good free synths in AAX to help you get started. Check U-HE

I second that; about the only dogs currently from Arturia are the 'acoustic' piano and the B3. The others though are quite good and see regular use here. Sounds is excellent though the MiniMoog is a bit of a cpu hog.
