View Full Version : Can I prevent manual tempo changes from affecting everything down the time line?

Scoring to picture and drawing in tempo changes to give the midi instruments some life, and also to make hitting cuts easier. This is my first time experimenting with this method as opposed to nudging individual notes. It's let me give wonderful feel to piano parts (I'm not a great piano player so I usually just grid it). Also makes hitting edits right on the frame a breeze.

Obviously though, When I make a change at 2:35, everything after that gets pushed/pulled one way or the other. What I'd like is a similar feature to elastic audio, where I can drop markers and stretch within them without effecting the timing of anything outside the markers.

Possible?

Change midi's Tick base to Sample Base may help in some instances.

The Meter lane + not-snapping to beat, adds a downbeat. This can also help isolate in and out points.

Also Locking clips in groups or not then unlock when moving on.
