I am new to Pro Tools and recording in general so please bear with me.
I have a mac OS 10.5.8, I am running M-Powered Pro Tools 8, with a M-Audio Fast Track Pro interface. When I try to use my keyboard as a midi control (keyboard is a Yamaha YPT-300) Pro Tools will not recognize it. I am plugging in through the midi jack on the back of the interface. I checked the midi setup window on the mac, the Fast Track is listed there and when I click the test button and play the keyboard the computer responds with a beeping sound which makes me think it is receiving a signal. I would appreciate any help I can get, thanks.
