View Full Version : Undoing 8.0.3cs2

Ever since installing this update (8.0.3cs2), I've been getting unreasonable amounts of pops and clicks in my recorded audio. I am using a MBP: OS X 10.5.8. I am using a Profire 2626, and have troubleshot clock, memory, and buffer issues. Even in a new project, with one single track of audio, highest h/w buffer, I can't avoid these new jitter artifacts.
I'm confident that reverting back to 8.0.1 will solve this problem (unless somehow, coincidentally, my FW400 port got an eyelash in it during the update), as everything seemed to work properly in that environment.

Please help - how can I "undo" this update?

Thanks.

/Applications/Digidesign/Pro Tools/Pro Tools Utilities>Uninstall Pro Tools.app
Run this with the Profire detached.
Repair disk permissions after a restart.

Or you could go the other direction and try this;
