I'm getting a DAE error -9073 on playback

( DAE can't get audio from the drives fast enough. Your drive may be too slow or fragmented, or a firewire drive could be having trouble due to the extra bandwidth or CPU load)

Can any one shed any light?

It only happens on larger size songs.

thanks

I've tried running IDefrag on both my internal hard drive and external (dedicated PT drive) but to no avail.

Note it also seems to stop every time on the 1..

ANY HELP???

Which drive (USB or FW) and which audio interface? Are they daisy chained and how many audio tracks?

The External H/D is a WD5000PO32 F/W 400 and i'm using a Project Mix I/O...all my firmware is up to date. I have another new WD Tera GIG but thats only USB, suppose i could try it? There are 38 Audio tracks and 12 AUX tracks.

I'm guessing saving and then deleting half the tracks and bouncing two different sessions would help? but that's a pain in the ass i don't really want to do it.
