Help ptf files are disappearing

I'm using Pro Tools 8 m powered on Mac OSX 10.6 and about 3 or 4 complete pro tools sessions have disappeared from my hard drive with no apparent reason. Please tell me there's a way to get them back

Make sure you don have round robin checked.
