Speaker outputs From HUI or 888/24 ? ? ?

I am installing a 5.1 Surround Protools setup using a HUI as a controller.
My question is this: do the speakers (all 6 of them) get their signal from the HUI or directly from the 888/24 ?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You want to connect the six outs of your 888/24 to the ins on the HUI, then connect the speakers to the HUI's outs. This way you have monitoring control using the HUI. The HUI owner's manual goes into this in great detail.
