Kenshiro,

I am posting here as I currently have a problem posting on your related thread.

Please brief yourself with these links,

a) First of all, here is an explanation of the 11002 error from Digidesign. (halfway down the thread)

b) Here is another user with the problem.

c) Here is my sordid ordeal that has been plagueing me from December 1999.

d) And just to prove the widespread effect of this problem, yet another users woes...

I'd like to share a revelation... Digi does not like third party capture cards.
The latest 'Digi approved' drivers for the fuse card is 1.8.1.
Aurora design have provided at least two updates since this driver. Now why won't Digidesign invest more time into compatibility with this card.
The reason I think, is beacuse you can now by AV option for ProTools, this costs 16 times the price of a fuse card, (admittedly offering far greater functionality) and is a Digi product. I guarentee you won't have any problem getting support for AV option, and soon... it seems, Fuse users will be well past their use by date... it makes perfect marketing sense on Digidesign's part... they'll just ignore this problem, until the fuse is old hardware and noone cares anymore.

Sure I'm very annoyed at digidesign regarding this, and I know how you feel Kenshiro, I have lost considerable business after investing thousands of dollars into 3 'Professional' PT's systems that I setup STRICTLY to Digidesigns requirements. Now for them to not work out this problem for 1 AND A HALF YEARS, I consider to be blatant inconsideration for their customers.

Kenshiro, be assured, my system works... I don't know why, I don't know what I did, (except reformatting the system drive and reinstalling all software), but my system now works. There is an answer to this... whether or not it will be investigated... who knows. But in the least I would like a formal explanation from Digidesign, on what they plan to do about this issue.

regards,
Stuart Newman
