Really dumb question: Sound designer 2 files are linked to, well, sounddesiger-application (Sd2a). If this program is not your drives, and one does a desktop rebuild, all icons are blank document icons.

Any simple thing that can be done about this? (sorry, my brain is not thinking right now)

A bit longwinded but this would do it: Find a good sd2 file with intact icon. Get Info. Click the icon in the get info window. Copy. Create a new folder. Get info. Click the icon in get info window. Paste. You now have a folder with a sd2 icon. You can use this icon to paste onto any sd2 icons, or better still write/find an AppleScript to do batch copy/pastes.
