I'd like to have more button click options (and programmable ones at that) available when I use PT on my beige G3, but I only have an ADB mouse input. Any suggestions on a multi-button mouse I could use? Or upgrading my Mac with a USB card?

I have a USB Microsoft Intellimouse. It is optical and track great. It also has 5 buttons you can program for commonly used ProTools feature.

If you have an extra PCI slot a Firewire/USB card is a great investment. I got an orange micro card for about $99. I also go the new Apple mouse which is works flawlessly but doesn't have any extra buttons. I have been thinking about trying the Microsoft intellimouse which is supposed to be great and as mentioned has several buttons and a scroll dial

If you don't want or need firewire you can get a USB card for about $30.
