We'll have an announcement here this week with a lot more details. I can tell you that the 5.1 CD installers are finished and in the process of being duplicated. We are now building special web installer versions that will be much smaller than the CD, and after testing the installers and then the download process with the new DigiStore, we expect to begin taking upgrade orders for the shipping upgrades online with an option to download at the same time. We expect that to be around February 15th.

As I said, we will be posting complete details this week, the What's New in Pro Tools 5.1 pdf and the latest 5.1 Compatibility Documents. So hang in there a few more days and we'll spell it all out. Bottom line, in about 2 weeks you will be able order and download your paid upgrade, or your free update if you purchased after August 31st. (all downloads will also receive physical shipments)

Will the 5.1 upgrade be automaticaly shipped to people who bought their Mix + after august 31st...or do we have to call in to order ?? Thanks

Will Protools 5.1 work with a D24
and two mixed farms, this configuration
is considered a "Mix plus" right?
