Bit Conversion and CLICKS!!

Have any of you found that you get clicks in the bounced and converted files no matter what level of conversion you use.
We constantly get clicks in the resultant 16 bit files even we use 'tweak head'.
THe files pre conversion are fine.
ANy advice?

Clicks and pops generally refer to a clock mismatch. If you are resolving to external clock source, try another bounce with the Setups>Hardware>Sync Mode field set to "Internal."

I agree,
you may also want to double check you Disk Cache and DAE Playback Buffer settings.

These 2 setting are very influential on Bounce to Disk performance.

Disk Cache (Memory Control Panel) at 512k for all systems

PB Buffer at 2 for a Mix or D24 system
