Sync problems with MTP-AV?

Does anyone use the midi timepiece with PT and have problems sending MTC to port. The signal cuts out intermittently and when it does read the MTC and lock pro tools reads the Timecode back like it's the slave not the master in the "Current Time" window. Digi Tech support didn't know why this was. What's the midi timepiece doing?

In your periferals/sync window, did you select the port as MTP/AV?

If so, where are you sending your "MTC to port"? IF you are syncing an ADAT, then send "MTC to port" to the ADAT (or any other specific device), while the Sync port is MTP/AV.
Also, make sure PT is not online.

MOTU makes the MTP AV, maybe they might have some info.. who knows. sorry, couldn't resist

I too have had lots of trouble with my MTP AV, and have had a really hard time getting MOTU to respond. Their tech support line is always busy and they rarely respond to email!!! I had to send a message to them 4 times over the course of 6 weeks before I got a reply.
