9600 G3 upgrade..WHICH ONE???

Which brand of G3 upgrade (other than Newew or XLR8) is the most stabel on the 9600??

Ive got a NewerTech G3 500. Works perfect - not a single crash since it is installed (PT 5.01, OS 9.01) with a PT24 and DC-30+.
The G4-Cards are a problem I heard quite often.
But - the speed-improvement is not as big as you might whish...

Newer Tech's are the most stabel by far!!!
I've seen horror stories with just about everything else.
And only G3 upgrades, not G4.... ugly

Yes, but they're now out of business. I would imagine that might be problem when you want to switch to OSX.

Concerning to Apple you might have that problem anyway (only original G3/4 will run OS-X concerning to apple)

On my LE system I use a XLR8 g3 400. No problems. TDM system is on a real G4.

why XLR8 is the best choice for AV uses.
