Currently running a PT5 core system with a total of 5PCI cards on a 9600/200. Considering an upgrade to some kind of G4 with an expansion chasis, to both improve speed and start building the framework for a second system.
9600/200 seems sluggish these days, epecially after install of PT5.0
Can anyone tell me there experience/opinions about the relative performance of a G4 compared to 9600/200 and does it make sense to pop for the higher end G4's at this time? Is the enhanced performance of the higher MHZ and dual processors price justifiable or noticable in the Digi realm?
Any thoughts?
