I'll be importing several 40+ track sessions from a PTIII to a mix plus rig. What's the best disc allocation strategy? I'm assuming the audio files must be split up between drives. How do I insure the session retains correct track placement?

-Assuming that the session(s) contatin even a moderate edit density, you will need to split the audio up.

-Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do this. You will need to manually split up the audio and fade files between your drives.

-As a way of practicing good housekeeping, it may be wise to create a folder on each drive with the same name of the session, in which contains two folders titiled "Audio Files" and "Fade Files."

-Launch the session and navigate to the files as the "Where Is...?" dialogue box prompts you to.

-Assuming that you are going to be recording additional material into the session:
After the Session is open, go to the Setups>Disk Allocation Window and assign the tracks between the drives.
