PowerBook G3 problem

I have PT installed on my Powerbook G3, I have a problem with my MIDI interface (AMT8 emagic). The MIDI interface is connected to my Powerbook with the USB. Is there any other way to connect it. I know that it works with Gport, but there is no way to install Gport to Powerbook. Please tell me if there is another possibility?
