I´ve read in the archieves that there is problems with the 21150 intel chips...

Damn!... I just got my Digidesign 13 PCI chassis and both the host and expansion cards have a chip named:

SB21150AC
L0270951
Intel 1997

Host card is REV-D
Exp. interface card is REV-C

Does this mean I need to have the cards fixed?? would I also need to return the 4U chassis as well? (jikes!).

Is this the right place to contact Digidesign or would I need sending an email to them privately?...

I wont go ahead installing the exp. chassis before I have the details clear because there is far to many cables and other stuff in the way... I dont want to install cards I need to remove the day after. I hate messing with them.

I have searched the DUC for 30mins now without finding out much (other than one posting regarding 21150)... Any details of bad and good chips would be great.

Any info is appreciated... thanks.

DigiDAW.

BTW: the chassis is to be used with a Mac G4/400/sawtooth.

Thanks.

-The AC chips from Intel are fine with the Magma 13 slot chassis.

-The issue surrounding the problems with these chips only affected Mix cards and has since been fully resolved.
