Amp Farm 1.5 Installation Problem

Anyone, who had that problem ?
(Mac BW 400/ OS 9.04/ PT Mix 5.01./uDrive driver version 1.01/ Floppy enabler 2.0)


When i startet this mornin' as a friend told me, with the version of Amp Farm on the computer, i was asked as espected for the key disk.
Error while verifing your authorization.
Result code: 200

Next I threw
everythin of the computer....

I tried to install Amp Farm 1.5 from Mix Pack CD v4.0.
(Mac BW 400/ OS 9.04/ PT Mix 5.01.

I do end up with:

Error while verifing your authorization.
Result Code: 200 O.K

No success with easy- or custom-setup or direct moving the extention to DAE folder.
The authorizer disk gives the same result, when everything is put down manually to the
folders.

What floppy drive are you using?

-Currently, the only supported devices for the G3/G4 is the Imation SuperDisk and the Newer Technology Udrive.

The Udrive requires version 1.0 of its drivers available at:

http://www.newertech.com/software/drivers/index.html

The Imation SuperDisk requires these drivers:
-USBSuperDiskClassDriver v3.3
-USBSuperDiskUTDriver v3.3
-Both of these extensions are available (as a single download) from the following URL:

Both drives require the following extension:
-USB Floppy Enabler v2.0 and is available for download at the following URL:

http://www.paceap.com/usb_enabler.html

Thanks a lot,
it's exactly the solution.

The problems were caused by the udrive driver 1.01. The Version 1.0 with floppy enabler 2.0 works fine.
Only thing to take care of is to throw away the older floppy enabler that is installed with the version 1.0 of the udrive

Same suggestion i got from the german support.

I´m about to install my AmpFarm 1.5 update on my G3-300MT beige (no USB) with MacOS 9.0.4. Do I have to install any USB Floppy Enablers on that system, too?

Thanks for the update. Very useful information.


Peter,
Beige G3 Macs (or any Mac with a built-in floppy drive for that matter) do not require the USB Floppy Enabler extension for authorization.
