I guess I know why it's from hell...I can't get it to work.

I purchased this because of all the great demos and samples I heard on their website and from others that have used this software.

Here's what I am doing-

I start a new session with one midi track and one stereo track. I pull up DFH2 on the steroe track as a plug-in and then set the midi track's out to the DFH2 option. I pull up the midi grid and I pencil in a few notes. When I do so correctly, I hear the samples sounding. When I push play and things don't slow down too much, I get the samples triggering as the play bar passes each little box that I've penciled in. Is this way correct?

I am really new to the idea of samplers and sequncers. DFH2 comes with a built-in sampler caller Kontakt. And Pro tools has it's own sequncer...correct?

Here's my set up:

Windows XP Home
AMD Athlon XP 3200+
512 RAM
160 GB system drive
160 GB audio drive

Thanks for any advice!!

Here's what you need to do.

How to use dfh SUPERIOR as a multi instrument in Pro Tools through ReWire (version 6.1 or higher required)

1. Start Pro Tools, Create 13 Mono tracks
2. On each of these tracks, instantiate a "Drummer (mono)" plugin
3. In the Drummer ReWire plugin window assign Superior outputs as follows:

0=Kick
1=SnareTop
2=SnareBottom
3=Tom1
4=Tom2
5=Tom3
6=Tom4
7=Tom5
8=Hats
10=Overhead-Left
11=Overhead-Right
12=Ambience-Left
13=Ambience-Right

4. Rename the tracks accordingly in the PT mixer for convenience
5. Create a midi track and assign Superior in the output field
6. Start the Drummer "applet"

I think he has DKH 2 and not DKH Superior. Would it work the same way?

It Should be the same thing.

It's not. DFH2 uses the intakt sampling engine, not rewire.

rossscarbro, you're doing it the right way.
