I have an AMD chip xp 2500 barton core
was wondering if it would be wise to upgrade to the new 64 bit 3500 chip?
will I notice better performance in Pro Tools(more plugins)or not??
peace

I bought an Athlon64 3000+ based laptop. And it outperfroms my OC'ed Athlon 2500+.
I don't know about pro-tools, but Via chipsets seem to give the least problems. Especially if you plan on ever using UAD-1 cards.

Ive heard the A8V boards deliver less performance then K8V. Thats why i went with a 3400+ and a K8V board. This was strait from Allen

my biggest problem with the mobo and cpu XP2500.I can't use all three bays ram memory because i have pc3200 so it limits me to 2 X 512 meg which sucks
anyonw know if the k8v board is like that as well??
