Removal of Clips & Pops on Tracks?

Most of my distorted guitar tracks are messed up. Some of the tracks sound like they have radio static on them & other have little clips & pops. Most of my clean guitar tracks came out fine.

What do I do to fix these?
What is a good software to repair these problems?
Are the free Bomb Factory clip removers & noise meters any good?

Should I just re-record them?

Recording it good is the best way to go....
