I'm considering buying a new PC, and want it to be compatible with the MBox and LE.
However, most new computers use the latest PCI Express 915/925-chipsets which are not recommended by Digidesign. Does anyone know what the problems are? Or if Digidesign has a program fix coming up?
I won't buy an "old fashioned" computer just to make it work with Pro Tools, that's a bit silly..

Sorry if this problem has been discussed to death before, did a few searches but couldn't find decent info.

I WISH I WOULD'VE DID MORE RESEARCH. I HAVE A DELL 8400 PENT 4 3GIG PROCESSOR, 1 GIG RAM, 160GB HARDDRIVE W/ MBOX. BUT I CAN'T EVEN RECORD 2 TRACKS WITHOUT PROBLEMS. DIGIDESIGN SAID THEY'RE WORKING WITH INTEL RIGHT NOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM SO I'M WAITING IN THE WINGS UNTIL THEN. ALOT OF THOSE SPECIAL BUILT CPU'S ARE MORE EXPENSIVE. BUT IF IT'S IN YOUR BUDGET...I'D DO THAT...AT LEAST U KNOW IT'LL WORK
