View Full Version : how to use phantom power with mixer?

if i want to sing and play the piano at the same time and i go thru a mixer to the mbox..how do i setup for phantom power? if i go direct into the mbox with L mono for the keys and right for the mike will that work? i would rather use the mixer

Your mixer has phantom power according to the Behringer web site.
There's a switch on the back next to the power switch.
Plug in the condensor, turn on the phantom power, set your levels.

Yes, you can go straight into the Mbox, too.

thanks..i was wondering if the phantom power would affect any other channels in the mixer? can i sing and play at the same time?

The phantom power will probably affect all the channels on your mixer.But if the instrument doesn't require phantom power it will still function.Yes you can sing and play at the same time..Quite a feat for some folks.

And phantom power only shows up on the XLR jacks, not the quarter inch.
