You could simply automate the volume on the audio track right where the pops occur.
This is how I fixed an entire album of 'rocks', also known as stick noise on frets, on a dulcimer recording.

You could also try a de-esser, but that may not work considering they are made for higher frequencies.
Remember to automate the volume on a track without high latency plugins since the plugins can offset the volume automation.

If this is a major task, you could try EQ'n out the very low frequencies to make them less notable.
(Assuming they are low frequency pops)

Hello. When you say 'popping' do you mean the proximity effect with plosives like 'p' and 't' and such? For that use a high pass filter, between 60 Hz and 85 Hz or so and that should take care of the majority of your problems. If you mean popping like digital distortion, or ground hum noize or things like that, then volume automation if it's not extreme should do fine. Recurring noise like hum and such needs noise removal tools.

Use a highpass filter or tune a parametric in to tame the boom. Set a filter to very narrow with a big boost(like +12) and slowly sweep it around till you find the tapping jumps out. Thats the area you want to attenuate.

or re-record the parts with a proper anti-plop-screen in place.
