Error Message appears when saving a new session

Whenever I try to save a new session (with Protools Le 6.7) onto my external LaCie firewire hard drive, an error message pops up saying," Session must be on an audio record volume."

However, when I save a new session onto my internal hard drive it works fine, without any error messages.

Why won't it save onto the La Cie??? Please Help.



Note: My La Cie hard drive is connected correctly and is supposed to be compatable with protools.

I just installed LE 6.7, and got the same error message when trying to save a session to my maxtor external. How did you resolve this, thanks. I had the same prob when I installed the demo, but it installed on my internal fine. I just reformatted the external, didn't solve the prob

I just figured it out. Go to "windows" then "show workspace"

The new drive needs to be set to R, or record. Protools set it to T, or
transfer for some reason so it would not accept files
