i'm running a digi 002 on windows XP
never had any beef before aside from typical PC hiccups
but all of a sudden, the hardware itself will not recognize the firewire connection to my tower
there is no communication between my computer and the digi hardware
the firewire light on the front of the 002 won't light up
any ideas?
please advise
i am lost at sea

Hey Jus,

I had this problem the second day I used mine. All of a sudden it just wasnt being recognised by Protools as being connect to the computer. All I did was plug the firewire cable into the other firewire port on the back of the 002r. It worked first time and Ive never had a problem since then.

I have no idea if this will help but its worth a try if you havent already.

I had a firewire cable fail on my rig. The cable never got moved or abused, it just quit. Now I keep a spare on hand. If you are using a PCI firewire card, you may want to reseat it every 8-12 months(along with every other plugin connection inside your PC).
