Latest MDD G4's OK with 001 now ?

I just got a 2003 G4 1.25ghz new from the Apple store last week. It has a shiny mirror cd-door, so I can only assume it's a MDD.

Hooked up my 001 and all seems very stable with OS9 and ptle 5.2.1.

I read on another board that the 001 pci card can actually "damage the pci slot" on some mdd G4's. Not sure if that means eventual electronic damage or physical damage.

Is this an old (resolved) issue or do I have any cause to be concerned ?

I never knew of any potential issue, but I used my 001 w/an MDD for well over a year before I got a 002 without any problems. I wouldn't worry about it.
