SPDIF Split

Is it possible to split a S/PDIf signal? I would like to split the output from my 001 to go to my CD writer and Dat at the same time. Thinking of something like those RCA Y cables for SPDIF.

hook up the dat player first and then the cd player from the dat players out put and the cds out put back to the 001 /002

shouldnt that work Thats how I have mine setup only with a masterlink and f inalizer

Hmmm, never thought of chaining them, I'll try that tonight. Thanks for the idea.
