Hi there, sorry for the question I am about to ask, I'm just new into this. I've got an Mbox, and I'd like to buy a FirWire HD. I just don't know how to make sure it is compatible. Some brands make it a sales pitch (the fact that it works with PT), like glyph, but they don't seem to feature anything special compared to other drives. Is there a list of compatible drives that's available?

Thanks

Go to the compatibility link on the top of the page, then scroll down to "firewire hard drive requirements." You can also search this forum as this topic has been covered hundreds of times in the past.

It must have the Oxford chipset and be 7200rpm.

Glyph offers pretty boxes and a REALLY pretty price (from Glyphs standpoint) for nothing more than what other makers offer. Stock standard drives, maybe some rubber grommets for "shock" absorption.
Every other spec is standard...
