quick keys question

how does one enable the quick keys for the numeric pad on a powerbook?

Hold down the function key in order to access the numeric pad. AFAIK, there's no way to lock the function key down.

If you're trying to use it for a shortcut in PT, like say to open up the Markers window, hit Command+fn+5 (actually, the "I" key). Hitting fn before Command will not work properly.

You can actually have to numeric keypad locked on by pressing num lock.

i discovered that recently, hope you can put it to good use as well.

Damn! And here I am thinking all the time that Num Lock was just to keep the symbols along the top row from being typed when you hit the shift key....not sure if it'll be useful in PT, but it'll definately speed up my time spent in Calculator when working on my employees' timesheets
