questions with syncing up my boss drum machine

the last few times i have tried to record my boss dr 670 synced up to my midi tracks in pro tools, the tempo is double time on the drum machine when i hit play. but if i record it on the audio play back it is at normal speed, yet the midi track is still double time. i have tried dividing the tempo in half and it gets all screwy. anyone have an idea why this is happening? do you think it is a problem with boss? or am i just configuring things wrong?

Hi,

It sounds like you are looping MIDI Beat Clock back into the drum machine. If you are recording the audio into Pro Tools unplug the MIDI out of the drum machine. Are there any other devices in your system that can generate MIDI Beat Clock? If so make sure they are not starting and feeding clock back into the system. Let us know what you find.
