Default PT 12.5, WIN 10 : mfc120u.dll cannot be loaded

Hello
I have tried to install PT 12.5 on Windows 10 PRO 64 bit , everything went OK except when Running PT I had the following message : "import DLL mfc120u.dll cannot be loaded ..." , and PT won't run.
The Solution : Go to Microsoft.com and search for Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 , choose the right file for your system (i guess only the one with 64bit for PT 12) and install it , then PT12.5 runs well
Note : I haven't yet checked PT's 12.5 stability .
Good Luck

I am having the same issue. Pro Tools 12.5 HD was working fine, and suddenly I started getting the "import DLL mfc120u.dll cannot be loaded ..." , and PT would not run. However, Mj77's solution did not work for me. I tried installing both the 2013 and 2015 versions of the C++ with no change in the Pro Tools failure.

Any ideas?
................

As an update, I did a repair installation on Pro Tools 12.5 HD through Control Panel, then rebooted, then installed the 2015 C++ again (Pro Tools still not working), then installed the 2013 version of C++ again (and incidentally, also installed an updated version of the eLicenser manager software), and voila! Pro Tools 12.5 HD is working again.

I had the same problem, only I went into Windows uninstaller and there was an option to repair the C++ files in question. I also did an internet search for the *.dll file ( mine was msvp120.dll missing or couldn't load.
Hope this helps

Wow. THANK YOU so much for this!

This problem randomly appeared today and updating C++ fixed it.
