Looks like those are MIDI drivers. I don't use midi. I've been running PT 8.0.5 on OS Lion since a few months after Lion was released.

I figured out the problem :)

I did try and install the drivers again, but the new Mountain Lion made me force eject it saying it was damaged....every time.

I had a similar problem with Carbon Copy Cloner.

When this happened with both i notice when installing CCC that there was an issue with my security settings? Never had that before......well....

After going into System Preferences>Security&Privacy, i see this...

-Mac App Store
-Mac App Store and identified developers
-Anywhere

once i clicked "anywhere", all programs installed perfectly including the drivers for the Mbox 2 Mini :)

Hi all,
I've just got Pro Tools LE 8.0.5 running successfully on Mountain Lion!
I'm running a late 2008 Unibody Macbook Pro 2.66, but I did a clean install of Mountain Lion on a freshly formatted external 500GB USB Hard Drive to test compatibility with my apps before deciding if I would risk the full upgrade on the laptop.
I installed Pro Tools LE 8.0 first which seemed successful, but Mountain Lion wasn't recognizing the PT hardware (currently an MBox2 Micro but I have an MBox2 as well) so I updated the MBox drivers (labelled drivers for Pro Tools 9) from the didgidesign website.
http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...nload/en379411
This kicked the MBox Micro into life, but Pro Tools LE 8 was quitting at the end of start up.
I then updated to 8.0.5 and its working fine. I've got 5 tracks of audio running with compression, eq and fx. I haven't yet tried recording into pro tools with the Mbox2, but this it is working!!!
I don't know if an upgrade on to of an existing version of OSX would yield the same results, but I'm very surprised and happy its working for me. I hope you guys all have the same success.
I'm so happy I'm using emoticons.

Max - so to confirm then, Pro Tools LE 8.0.5 with your MBox2 Mini is now working on OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion? Have you recorded/edited at all to make sure it is working normally? What are the specs for your Mac?

Did you install the drivers from that link I sent you or...?

Thanks!

I do not have Pro Tools LE 8.0.5
I only have the MBox 2 mini, so i personally cannot confirm that particular version of Pro Tools.

Sorry

The drivers from the site you suggested did work, only after fixing the security&privacy settings in system preferences.

Thank you :)

Max - I understand you have the MBox Mini but aren't you running some version of Pro Tools with it?

Thanks!

No, I purchased Adobe Audition as I used to use Cool Edit Pro back in the PC days.
I would like to try protools, but have yet to acquire it.

Gotcha. So keeping score we have:
1) Mbox Mini 2 that works - but with a software other than protools
2) M-Powered 8.0.5 that seems to be working fine

Anyone tried an Mbox 2 with Protools LE 8.0.5 yet? And if so - can you provide your system 'stats' as well.

Thanks again

Which interface do you use? I use Fast Track Ultra with PT MP 8.0.5 too, will that work as well?
