Default Suggestions on DRUM SOUND samples

I bought the Massey DRT2 now I need the best drum samples possible. I record almost exclusively at this time Indie , top40 , rock , metal .classic rock.
Could you give a suggestion to the best samples you know of. I like the sound of close mic,d drums the most, although if there is a extra option to blend room sounds that would be good to. I need them to sound first rate and really pound with a wide variety of tones and kits.

If you own any drum VI plugins(like ezdrummer, SD2 or Addictive Drums), you can make your own from the plugin by recording hits to an audio track and chopping them up. Its actually pretty simple.

The better I drink...the more I mix.....

Not to sound like a jerk but the best drum samples come from the drums you record for that particular song. Something I've gotten into is recording each drum from its mic before anything else and catching the natural decay then I can go back and use those individual hits for samples if need be.

Great drum sounds can come from the drums that you are recording for sure, but only if you are lucky enough to have an amazing kit that is well tuned and hit exactly the right way by a great drummer. Also, one size does not fit all when it comes to taste in drum sounds. Often times people need to fix up anemic sounding recorded drums by helping them with added samples. It's really case by case.

Ross Garfield Drum samples are excellent. 16 bit, but who gives a s**t. Go to 'Big Fish Audio.com and check them out. Tons of drums for $50. If I have ever had problems with a kick or snare, these have always sorted me out.
