Default "Ludwig" Assertion Errors in Pro tools 10, OS X 10.7.2

Hello

I've run into the oddest problem today and it's stopped me cold.

Last night, I was happily working on a session in Pro tools 10, then saved and closed, started up this morning to find the following error:

Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/ws.Ludwig/AlturaPorts/PT4_App/MacBuild/../StudioMgr/SMgr_DelayMgr.cpp", line 3526

So I did the usual...I trashed protools prefs, DAE prefs, DIGI setup about six times. I've tried switching the playback engine to different outputs. I've tried opening a new session and importing the session data from the old session, but the assertion error pops up in the new session.

I'm pretty much locked out of my session and I'm desperate for advice.

Anyone know anything I should try?

Thanks in advance

Can you 'recover' a backup session prior to the assertion event?

I can, but it seems I have to go back two days of backups to get to a backup session that doesn't generate the same error. Sigh.

I don't know about you but I would take that. Out of curiosity, do you recall what caused the assertion, what chain of events triggered the assertion. Was it a first time action since the upgrade or a incorrect action performed?

Just made some headway.

I opened up a new session and imported each track one by one until the error appeared. And it turns out the error was being caused by one audio track that contains SFX Machine Pro as an insert. So I believe that plug-in may be causing the assertion error, though who knows.

Thanks for your help
