Default convert kick and snare track to midi...

Any one know a good way to take an audio track of snare or kick drum and convert it to midi to trigger a midi device? thanks

There are several outboard boxes like a Forat f16 or an Alesis DM-Pro, that will take audio triggers and turn them into midi notes.

What you may want to do is to use Beat Detective to slice up a copy of your snare track. Then with a midi track sitting just above that snare track. You can select across both tracks and paste a midi note by tabbing from cut to cut. This goes pretty fast.

I'm pretty sure there is a Pluggo plugin that accomplishes this. You could check with them.

I'm sure you've figured this out by now but try Drumtracker by Toontrack... thats what i've used for a while

This is pretty much the only thing I use, it came out before many of the current options like Slate Trigger etc... for under $100.
