Default Best Mac For Pro Tool

I have been researching and still cant decide what mac to get for my studio. I have been using a PC for Recording but want to upgrade to mac . I have about 4k to spend on it. what is the absolute best mac i can get for running pro tools . I will be upgrading to HD also so need the EXP slot as well. I have been looking at the Apple Mac Pro 3.2GHz 8-Core but want other opinions. i will also be getting Pro Tools|HD 2 Accel. I do sessions for many church orchestras and And Big Bands and i need the power. Any Suggestions?

Hard to go wrong with a Mac Pro 8 core. You might want to check out this thread on the new intel i7 systems.
Not slagging the Mac by any means. I'm just saying.....................
Asus Sabertooth x79, Intel i7 3930K, 32 gig G-Skill DDR3, GeForce 610, HD/Native, HD IOx2, PT11HD, UAD Quad, preamps from Vintech, Five Fish Audio, Focusrite, Chameleon Labs and Midas..............................

The better I drink...the more I mix.....

BTW, my name is Dave, but most people call me.........................Dave

I don't think you're going to find a much "better" option than a Mac Pro, 8 core, at 3.2ghz. I don't think you're going to find a more expensive option either.

the question should really be either

a.) what is the best mac for protools within my budget of $X
b.) what sort of budget should I be looking at to do $X with protools on a mac
