PT LE 5.3.2 DIGI 002 plug-in problems
I get a notice that "required software extensions are missing" followed by a message to be transfered to the PACE website when I launch PT LE 5.3.2 on OS 9.2.2. When Pt launches I do not have The D-FX and D-FI plugs.
I have one instance of PT installed on my OS 9 partition and one on my OS 10.2.8 partition. This worked fine until I made a back-up of my HD on another HD installed in the same computer. I have since cleaned the second drive, trashed all digi files and folders and re-installed the software to no avail. I saw the same situation on the answerbase and did exactly as instructed (which was what I did in the first place), but the problem remains. I would like to know where the folder that contains the Protools Authorization logs are located as I did not find it and believes that this might be the key to the problem. PLEASE HELP ME! system: Dual 1 Ghz, AGP, Quicksilver; 1024 MB Ram; OS 9.2.2 & OS X 10.2.8; 2x80 GIG HD; 2x80 GIG FW Drives; DIGI 002 |

Re: PT LE 5.3.2 DIGI 002 plug-in problems
To run 5.3.2 you must boot into OS 9.
Your plug-ins are located in System:AE::Plug-ins Try removing all non Digi-rack plug-ins from there to a temporary location and restart Pro Tools. Add the plug-ins back in slowly until you find the offending plug-in. Your OS X plug-ins and earlier OS 9 versions won't work under OS 9 with 5.3 and later. Rail

Re: PT LE 5.3.2 DIGI 002 plug-in problems
Thanks Rail, I do understand how the system works. As I explained my set-up was working fine before I backed-up my systm to another internal drive on the same computer.
On the answerbase, Digidesign explained that another user experienced the same problem when He/She installed several instances of the software on the same drive (which I did not do). I have followed the instructions suggested by the Digidesign including removing the back-up from the second drive, but the problem remains. I should also point out again that this concerns only the Digi pack suite of plugs, (D-FX, to be exact). I really hope someone can help me with this problem as it has become a real pain. Does anyone Know where the PT LE 5.3.2/Digi 002 authorization logs are stored on OS 9.2.2? |
