California has two major canidates for Governor- bad (shades of Grey) and worse! Plus aren't there some third party gubernatorial canidates- green party, libertarian, Natural Law party...etc.?

Anyone from Colorado? As my friend describes it, In fact, Colorado is facing one of
the closest races in the country right now between Allard and Strickland. I
would wager that a vote for Strickland, a democrat, would do much better for
our environmental policies, our working-class, and our personal liberties.
It's an important time to tip the scales.

I thought Alf was on the ballot in most states- or was that just someone that looks rather like him?

Re: California governor's race... I voted Green Party. Doesn't mean much, but at least my conscience is clean.

SpiritG - You have fallen for the classic canard. Personal freedom is taking personal responsability for yourself and your neighbors. That means you taking care of those in need - not passing that responsibility off to the government. You deserve small government that allows you to have more discressionary income so that you can change your world. The liberal ideal is that the government knows better than its citizens how to care for themselves and the state. The conservitive ideal is that people know better how to care for themselves and the state. Which one sounds more like personal freedom to you? If you really want to change the world, vote for smaller government, lower taxes, and give the money to organizations that make a difference - organizations that get the money to those who need it.

Or just hand a hundred bucks to someone who really needs it. Now that is redistribution of wealth that works!

Peace - Peter

It's OK Jules. Mr Blair will be up for election soon enough. I think he has been a good leader. . . . .
