Help - Newbie here!!!
Hello All,
I know I'm going to sound like an idiot and I'm more than willing to take the ridicule if I can get some help. I'm a protools newbie and new to this forum and just wanted to know if anyone can give me a hand with the slave plug-ins that came with protools software. The two that I am referring to are Reason and Live. I have no idea what they are and believe me, I've looked. I've purchased two books on protools and am learning quite a bit but i can't, for the life of me figure out what to do with either. I know that these are enhancements and should help my music. If anybody can kindly give me some information, it would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: Help - Newbie here!!!
Those are programs which communicate and sync in realtime with pro tools. Audio can be sent from a "slave" to a "client" via something called "rewire". Do a search of your pro tools reference guide for more information on how to use rewire clients within a pro tools session.

Re: Help - Newbie here!!!
not enough room for a full answer, and hopefully, you'll get more than one.
Both of those programs have relevant websites dedicated to their use here ***** and here ***** . They are bundled with the latest pro tools because they can be "rewire"-d into a pro tools session. That means, when you hit play on the pro tools session, you are also hiiting play on either of those two too. Also, this site, www.digidesign.com , seems to have a lot of information too. that's a start. keep reading.
