Default Live Samples/ Synth work...

Hey guys, I'm about to start running samples/doing synth work for a local band. Do any of you have experience with this sort of thing? I'm loading samples off of a cd and am not quite sure what to do about the synth. Should I run the synth and the samples into a clubs P.A.? Guitar Amp? What are your thoughts?
