Hey Brother, first off Welcome to the Community
 What interface are you running? You either need an interface or asio4all installed to simulate an interface to be able to use the onboard audio card. What computer (exact model and peripherals) ? What windows version? We need a lot more info to troubleshoot. Have you tried going into settings - i/o and there set every tab to default? Has this system worked before? Read this "sticky" post as it outlines a lot of what we need to help and has some great optimmization tips which needs to be done to your computer etc. http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=300050 Try the default stuff and let us know what happens or doesn't happen.
