Its been like this all the time I think. If you use copy/paste you have to make sure the first note is right....

I found a workaround for the second issue I mentioned, the "persistent/undeleteable" note. I was able to workaround this doing the following:

1. Delete the entire measure that the persistent note resides.
2. Either:
2a: Recopy the entire measure from a different section of the original track.
> Maybe there's a different section from the original track that is "OK".
2b: Manually recreate the entire measure by manually creating each midi note.
> Note: This may require putting the midi editor in "spot" mode as mentioned in my earlier post.

Hope this helps.

This has been an issue for more than 6 years. If I try to select a bar or bars of MIDI notes which are quantized perfectly to the grid, say 16th notes, it (almost) never includes the first note or notes when I go to paste it somewhere else. If I put the track in to Clip View and separate the region of MIDI and cut and paste the clip, same thing. I simple does not want to get that first note if it begins exactly on time 0:00 of the selection. If I nudge the MIDI note a millisecond forward, it'll get included in the cut and paste.

Such a pain in the arse to have to go back and manually draw back missing notes or figure out other clunky workarounds which slow your flow down.

I have seen this issue again this week. For me it mostly happens when dragging a midi file to the timeline. The only way I could fix it was to set the grid to a whole measure and drag the midi file back one measure and then drag it back to its original spot. After that it worked as it should. It would be nice if they could really finally fix this issue.

I'm switching back to cubase after 15 years because of this issue. Avid guys are crazy, they're losing users because of bugs. Having said that pt 11.3.2 is free from this, yes it still has the sample rounding on audio material, but I can work with midi without this. I have sent a asc last week. Please do the same
