Default Pops and Clicks during tempo changes in PT8 with Xpand2!

I am having issues with clicks and pops in the playback/ recording of Xpand2! whenever there is a tempo change.

I have tried all buffer and CPU settings to try to rectify the situation-- no help.

I have tried trashing databases and preferences-- no help.

I have tried uninstalling PT entirely and reinstalling-- no help.

I have actually done this many times.

It is not session specific, because I have opened up a blank session, added a virtual instrument track with just one instance of Xpand2! on it, added a bunch of tempo changes, and the pops and clicks come up.

I don't have any other MIDI clocks or any slave/ master relationships.

I have isolated this to Xpand2! and no other plug-in instrument so far.

I have also gone back and tried every version from Pro Tools 8.0 vanilla up through 8.0.4cs3 (i think is the last one).

Please, help if you can!

There is no solution, currently.

Is this a known issue for Xpand2? I've seen lots of posts about similar problems, but not this one specifically.

Hello! I know this is a super old thread. But just in case it might help someone who's still using Xpand2 (like me! ), I found that turning off certain effects in the FX 1 AND/OR FX 2 sections in the Xpand2 GUI instantly gets rid of the problem.

Once, I had a vocal pad patch in Xpand2 that I believe had the FX 1 "on" by default upon choosing the said patch. The effect in FX 1 for this vocal pad patch was "Chorus" (which was also what I had wanted to use as well). But, as has been said, there'd be pops and clicks. Once I had turned FX 1 "off", though, the clicks and pops were completely gone!

What I did after was that I bussed the track in question to an aux track, added the effect there instead, then rendered the audio. It's not a perfect workaround, but it worked for me.

Hope this helps.
