Default Is the AVE really fixed in 12.7.1 HD?

I know how awful video handling has been in PT HD 11.

Just taking an unscientific poll as to whether or not there is truly improvement in 12.7.1? I've been using 11HD but in a music pre-production environment so I haven't had to deal with much video in 11. The lousy handling is what kept me at PT 10 for so long despite not having much needed tools like offline bounce.

I'm finally making the move but I need to know if it's really working now. I have NO time for hiccups because of the video implementation.

I know the codecs are key to having a smoothly operating system and there's no problem there. I will definitely get DNxHD or ProRes files. I just want to know is it really working now? Was it worth upgrading? 10HD has been solid for me. 11HD has not.

PT 12.7.1 with OS 10.12.4 - running like a dream from this end. Haven't had any issues at all since I paired this combo, and am very happy.. I also recently uninstalled Download Manager, and installed fresh PE Codecs. Some of which had been updated.

I'd say 12.7.1 on osx 10.11.6 is a B+

up from an F- on 11->12.4

PT10 was an A+

12.7.1 with 10.9.5 is ok. But so many other bugs that negate the AVE improvements.

Working in Windows, I'd say the AVE is slightly more stable. Still get the occasional video run-on, video delays on starting playback, and having to restart the video engine. But overall less frequently. I think when it's truly "fixed" we should have none of these problems, ever. Though it's far less sophisticated than the AVE, I don't recall having a single video-related crash or problem in Logic since I started using it for scoring in the early 2000's.

Run HD 12.7.1 on 10.10.5 and its quite stable here comparing to HD11.3.2.
I have sudden 5 seconds blackouts however, which I didn't have on PT 11.

I find it only about as stable as 12.4 was. I still get the AVE having to reset itself.

Running OSX 10.10.5 w/ PT 12.7.1 HD
