C24 is offline

Hello, I've just got the c24, 192 i/o and mac pro, connected, and pro tools cant find the c24, in utility tests it sends and recieves packages... may be something in ethernet preferences on mac, ive tried different variants... please help! mac os 10.6.4, PT 8.0.0.

Got the same set-up, man. Once in ProTools on the Edit screen, click the "setup" tab and go down to "Peripherals". Once you get that window open, click on the "Ethernet Controllers" tab. You will see that there is a drop-down box labelled "Ethernet Port". Try switching to the other ethernet port here and then unclick and re-click the "Enable" box. It should find it. Your MacPro has two ethernet ports, and my guess is that ProTools defaulted to the one you have connected to the internet. You need to tell it to look for ethernet controllers on the other one by doing what I wrote above. If that doesn't work, I may be stumped as well. Hope this helped!

Thanx!) but i've tried it? in all ways... with DHCP and manual, i can't understand the problem((((

You need Pro Tools 8.0.3 or higher for compatibility with Snow Leopard.

Thanx everybody, i've updated PT to 804, set ethernet to dhcp and it found it!!)) )

Great news; I'm glad you got it up and running. Thanks for the help, Digi. I didn't even think about the compatibility with Snow Leopard in the first version of PT 8. Guess that's why you guys are the pros!
